At our Agricultural Society, we are proud to support 4-H, one of Canada’s leading youth organization programs dedicated to empowering young people to become capable, caring, and contributing leaders in their communities.
4-H is a vibrant youth development organization where young people “Learn To Do By Doing.” Through hands-on experiences, leadership opportunities, and community involvement, 4-H provides youth with the skills, confidence, and knowledge they need to succeed in agriculture, science, community building, and life.“Learn To Do By Doing” — The 4-H Pledge reflects our commitment to empowering youth through practical, real-world experience.
The 4H’s
The foundation of 4-H rests on four key pillars that members commit to in their pledge:

- Hands: Giving back, serving the community, and working together.
- Health: Building healthy habits, living actively, and personal growth.
What Do 4H Member’s Do?
4-H is much more than farming—it offers a wide variety of hands-on projects and activities for youth of all interests:
- Agricultural & Livestock Projects: Showmanship, livestock care, crop management, and sustainable agriculture techniques.
- Life Skills & Creative Arts: Cooking, woodworking, photography, public speaking, and financial literacy.
- Leadership & Community Service: Local volunteer initiatives, committee work, public speaking competitions, and regional fairs.
- Achievement Days & Fairs: Showcasing project achievements at local agricultural fairs and events
